Downtown Hartwell

Downtown Hartwell is a charming and historic area located in the heart of Hartwell, Georgia. Shopping opportunities include visiting downtown Greenville, SC, Asheville, NCTanger outlets in Commerce, North Georgia Premium Outlets . No trip to the region is complete without taking a stroll through the charming downtowns of celebrated college towns Clemson and Athens.

Are you looking to take in some natural scenery? Just over a 2 hour drive, you can visit the most popular National Park in America…Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Amicolola Falls is another popular destination for spectacular views of one of the tallest waterfalls in North America. For more natural beauty, be sure to check out the Blue Ridge Parkway, one of the most scenic drives in the Country. The southern start to the Parkway begins just 2 hours from Basecamp Hartwell.

Be sure to visit the unique mountain town of Helen, Georgia. Helen is a mountain town in northeast Georgia, known for its vineyards and Bavarian-style buildings. Trails run through the Chattahoochee National Forest to the Anna Ruby and Raven Cliff waterfalls. In Smithgall Woods State Park, Dukes Creek is known for trout.

North Georgia and Upstate South Carolina is home to a number of small breweries that often have great food and music. Downtown Hartwell is home to Southern Hart Brewing and Lake Hartwell Guide has put together a unique “Lake Hartwell Ale Trail” to assist you finding the best breweries in the area.
